Down Syndrome

Michael has accomplished all aspects of activities of daily living (ADLs) and has mastered goals of different instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) such as being able to make his bed, via folding and adjusting sheets, as well as folding clothing during daily chores at home. With the help of different bilateral coordination/upper extremity strengthening activities, Michael gained the skills needed to be able to complete high-level activities of daily living that are needed to complete his daily chores at home. Michael is making his way to graduating and being able to function as independently as possible as an adult within his home.

Cerebral Palsy

Jose has made gains in the areas of executive functioning skills with a focus on inhibition, self monitoring, and emotional regulation. Interventions focused on the use of real-life scenarios and problem-solving techniques to be able to identify potential triggers and incorporate sensory-based coping strategies. His gains in this area allow him to have positive interactions and participate in game activities whether he is winning or losing.

Down Syndrome

Sophie has made gains in the areas of postural control, coordination, motor planning and fine motor skills to complete dressing activities on her own. She has participated in sensory, gross motor, and fine motor interventions to increase her skills to complete dressing activities of daily living (ADL). Sophie takes pride in the ability to get herself ready for her day.

Down Syndrome

Joshua has made overall gains in fine motor coordination and is able to complete activities of daily living (ADL) on his own and is now working on completion of instrumental activities of daily living (IADL). His most recent accomplishment is the ability to grade application of force.

Cerebral Palsy

Mia has participated in treatment interventions with focus on strategic incorporation of materials to increase grasp and manipulation. Mia’s gains in the areas of sensory processing and fine motor skills have allowed her to participate in more activities of her liking. Prior to this, she was fearful of playing with certain textures.
